The Provincial Archive is a power trio from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The band have been honing their craft through dark winters over the last 15 years. They've released four records and have toured the world: all from the remote northern outpost that the band calls home.
The Provincial Archive began as an acoustic band focused on arrangements and songwriting. After a few years of success, and an international schedule, TPA was forced to reform as a trio in 2015. Quickly thereafter, TPA came in to their own with a self-titled power-pop confessional, teeming with influence from somewhere between 1994-1996: replete with the dynamics, messy guitars, and fuzzy vocal hooks that hallmark the era. Since that release and tour the band has kept an uncomplicated schedule and released only selected singles. Lucky for us the bands fourth album, “Good Luck” has arrived to close out 2023.
